Biography

Rob Maitland is the former President of the Orange County Bar Association and the Founding Partner of Maitland and Stiffler Law Firm, PLLC. Rob is proud to be a Tar Heel, having received his law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, after conducting his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Los Angeles, as a UCLA Alumni Scholar.

Rob is that rare attorney who not only has legal knowledge, but also personal experience in business, banking and entrepreneurial roles. Although known as a tough negotiator and litigator for his clients, Rob's special quality is his ability to see the big picture and then draw from his background to be a Deal Maker rather than a Deal Breaker. Rob routinely fashions innovative solutions for his clients after consulting on personal, business and litigation matters. You can hear some of Rob's weekly radio tips at http://www.legaltipoftheweek.com/

Rob Maitland has successfully closed thousands of real estate transactions and welcomed countless new people to Chapel Hill, Durham, Raleigh and the Triangle area. He has helped them start new businesses, negotiate contracts and leases, buy or sell homes, and fight for their rights in court. Rob has a reputation in the Triangle as a leader in the legal community and an exceptional attorney and businessman. UNC Tar Heel football fans also recognize Rob from his pre-game broadcasts as a radio sports personality.

Rob practices in the areas of Residential and Commercial Real Estate, Business and Entrepreneurial law, Civil Litigation, Probate Litigation and Elder Law. Rob was recently honored by admission into the United States Supreme Court Bar. He is married to his wife Alden and has five children, Katie, Robby, Alden, Anna B, and Bowen. Rob hopes you will grant him the privilege and opportunity to serve as your attorney.
